Fall 2014 First Impressions
I’m a bit late for this but here’s what I thought about fall anime! Only picked 4 titles this season, because, well, it’s hard to care about watching anime when you’re a star-crossed lover. (Yep, I’m totally head over heels with my course). I’ll be focusing on backlog instead of currently airing shows until Christmas at least, then I’ll see if more new anime will interest me next year. I won’t stop blogging though!
Akatsuki no Yona
Episodes seen: 2
Starts off humorously except it’s not funny. Main girl is a wild princess who is friendzoned by her crush, and the episode focuses on this, until it suddenly gets super serious at the end. Like, people die and shit. Like the instrumental OP. I’m interested in the main girl’s development, although I don’t have too high expectations. Attractive boys tho.
Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (otherwise known as Parasyte -the maxim-)
Episodes seen: 1
Unattractive art style combined with more repulsive scenes makes this a show I won’t be following, no matter how much I love the seiyuu or am curious about the plot. Getting through the first episode was a challenge. The soundtrack is the most unlucky mix of great gems and rubbish dubstep. That’s all.
Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
Episodes seen: 3
Following the recently good comedies, I expected this one to be alright, maybe even groundbreaking. I was wrong. This anime is all about love growing from abuse and unhealthy relationships. Have a laugh if you want (not that it’s particularly funny), but don’t take it seriously. Also the music is so bad.
Orenchi no Furo Jijou

Was I the only one who didn’t realise this was going to be 4-minute long episodes? Again, good seiyuu but tedious in plot and still animation. Meh.
Sword Art Online
Never got past episode 6.
