In an attempt to spice things up I made a drinking game based on Ace of Diamond. So next time you put on this show, why not grab some beers and join the fun?Read more
As with every sports anime I’m making the hot guys post. It’s been a long time coming; because Yuri!!! on Ice is something to be celebrated. It’s filled with handsome characters and some of them are gay(!). I don’t think there will be any surprises here.
NB! Since Yuuri belongs with Victor, I won’t be including the compatibility score in this post.
Otabek is here because he’s handsome, and quirky. He doesn’t fit in with the norm, but that doesn’t matter. He does things his way and he does it while looking hot.Read more
I read the manga for Orange as soon as it had published its last chapter. I found it somewhat underwhelming and I thought the art looked funny. But it was all right. A fairly short read, and I ended up giving it 6/10. Not long after, I went and watched the anime. I expected a similarRead more
I’m not that fond of making videos myself, but I just love writing the scripts for them, and it seems a waste to write them and then have them shelved in a folder of my laptop for all eternity. So here is a video I made about Free! The good news is, since the recordingRead more
It didn’t take long before I realised I picked up way too many shows than I had time for. Which is why I won’t attempt to follow the next season, or any other seasons probably. I leave that to the pros. (What I will be doing, is continuing to write reviews of the anime I watch, as well as more in-depth breakdowns of narrative structure – I am a writer after all).
I honestly enjoyed a lot of the anime I checked out at the start of this season, but I struggled to keep up with them on a regular basis. In the end there were two shows I followed to the end, and that was mostly by accident. I tried to be ruthless, and had to drop over half as well. The rest wound up in my to-watch list.
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been watching this season, and my current thoughts on them (with some new additions).Read more
Makoto Shinkai might be one of the greatest talents of modern day, and as a writer and anime fan myself, I don’t say that lightly. He has deemed us all worthy of this marvellous feat that is Kimi no Na wa (Your Name), and it’s exactly a film like this that makes me grateful to be alive. The story is the true masterpiece here; Shinkai shows mastery in the art of writing, managing to interweave multiple storylines into one bigger picture. This is a film about love, but also so much more.
