Fall Anime 2016: First Impressions

It’s that time of year again, and this time I am on it! The fall season of 2016 has brought us a series of new anime, some promising and some trash, as per usual. I found that the overall quality is low, but there are a couple of gems between the masses. So here’s a rundown of the shows I’ve seen so far and what I think of them.

All Out!!

Episodes seen: 1

The two main characters are obnoxious and the art style is an eyesore. I thought I could look past the visuals at least, since I’ve felt this way about every sports anime in the past, but man, I don’t know. The voice acting is a bit off as well. In my experience, sports anime need a lot of warming up to, so I’ll try to stick with it, but I’m honestly not sure this one is going to be that great.

Prediction: 5/10

Cheating Craft

Episodes seen: 1

I don’t. what?

This is the stupidest premise I’ve seen in a long time.

Prediction: 4/10

Dream Festival!

First Impression: Digimon Adventure tri

Tri (3)

I am a big fan of Digimon. In fact, this franchise is the reason I write about anime in the first place. Ok, perhaps that was a bit of a dramatisation, but my god, was I obsessed with Digimon back then. I would spend hours searching the web for fan art, I knew the names of every single character, human and digimon, in English and Japanese, and who knows how much time went to reading the fanfiction. So when I heard about Digimon Adventure tri, I was freaking hyped.

Spring Anime 2015: First Impressions

This post is way overdue, I know, but amidst lying in bed worrying about my one exam coming up and bingeing on unhealthy snacks to cope with the stress, anime hasn’t been prioritised. I’m pleasantly surprised by my spring picks though, and finally it looks like we’re getting some decent content. Here are my first impressions.

Winter Season 2015: First Impressions

With so much on my plate right now and so few anime that actually sound interesting to me, I only picked up 4 titles this season. I’m backlogging a bit as well as trying to get my life back to a manageable pace. Anyway, here’s what I thought about them!

Fall 2014 First Impressions

I’m a bit late for this but here’s what I thought about fall anime! Only picked 4 titles this season, because, well, it’s hard to care about watching anime when you’re a star-crossed lover. (Yep, I’m totally head over heels with my course). I’ll be focusing on backlog instead of currently airing shows until Christmas at least, then I’ll see if more new anime will interest me next year. I won’t stop blogging though!
